Idli/Dosa/Appe Batter

Ingredients:
2 cups ukda rice
1 cup regular rice (kolam)
1 cup udit daal
1/3 cup chana daal
½ tsp methi dana
½ cup jada poha

Method:
1. Clean, rinse and drain both types of rice. Soak them together in plenty of water with methi dana.
2. Clean, rinse and drain both types of daal. Soak them together in plenty of water.
3. Let the daal and rice (separate) soak for 6-8 hours (8 hrs max)
4. 15 mins before grinding wash poha and sprinkle little water
5. For grinding, rinse and finely blend daal. Transfer to a big container.
6. Rinse and blend rice finey along with poha. Add to ground daal and mix well
7. Leave covered for 8-10 hrs
8. Mix lightly one more time and batter is ready
9. Stores well in fridge for 8-10 days
